The UP PGT New Exam Dates have been announced by the Uttar Pradesh Education Services Selection Commission (UPESSC). As per the latest notice, the written exam for UP PGT (2022 cycle) will be held on 9th and 10th May 2026.

How to Apply for UP PGT Recruitment 2026? 

The applications for UP PGT recruitment will soon be released. Here is how candidates registered for the recruitment process.

Step 1: Visit Official Website

Visit the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Service Selection Board official website.

Step 2: Find Advertisement Link

On the home page, look for the UPSESSB advertisement link on the left side and click on the registration button.

Step 3: Fill Required Details

Fill in all the details such as the candidate’s name, date of birth, category, father’s name, mobile number, address, educational details, etc.

Upload the recent Image & Other Required Documents as per specification. 

Step 5: Pay Application Fee

UP PGT Selection Process 2026

The UP PGT Selection Process consists of the following Stages. All the stages of the Uttar Pradesh PGT Selection process comprise 500 marks. Know all about the stages of the selection process here.

• Written test: This is the first stage of the selection process, for a total of 425 marks. The written test accounts for 85% of the weightage of all selection processes.
• Interview Process: The second stage of the selection is the interview process. It accounts for a total of 10 percent of total weightage. The interview process comprises 50 marks.
• Special qualifications: Based on education qualifications, candidates with higher education will be given the privilege, and it will account for 5% of the total weightage. The education qualification comprises 25 marks.

UP PGT Eligibility 2026

Candidates should fulfill all the points of the UP PGT Eligibility to be considered eligible for the candidature. Go through the expected details about Uttar Pradesh PGT eligibility given below as per the previous year’s trends. Candidates must not be less than 21 years of age to apply for the Uttar Pradesh PGT post as of July 1, 2023. Uttar Pradesh PGT Syllabus & Exam Pattern 2026

The Expected UP PGT Exam Pattern is given below. The Uttar Pradesh PGT exam will be an Objective Type Test. If a candidate has chosen a specific subject, just that subject's questions will be asked. The total duration for Written subjects is 2 hours.

•  Questions will be of Multiple Choice (MCQ) in the UP PGT Exam. 
• The total duration of the UP PGT Written Exam will be 2 hours.
• The total number of questions asked in the UP PGT Written Exam will be 125.
• The UP PGT Written Exam will be conducted for a total of 425 marks. 
• No negative marks for the incorrect answers.
• The UP PGT Interview Round is worth 50 marks, while the UP PGT Special Qualification is worth 25 marks.
• Candidates with a doctorate, M.Ed. B.Ed. degree and participation in a national-level sports event will be given 25 marks in the UP PGT Special Qualification Round. 

UP PGT Salary 

Candidates who are selected for the Uttar Pradesh PGT, will be paid as per the 7th pay commission. The selected individual will be paid in the range of Rs. 47,600 to Rs. 1,51,100, with a Rs. 4,800 grade pay. Candidates would receive numerous perks and incentives in addition to the stipulated UP PGT Salary. The UP PGT Perks will include Provident Fund, Pension, House rent allowance, Dearness Allowance, etc. applicable to state government employees.

The UP PGT Admit Card is a crucial document that allows candidates to be included in the selection process for the position. The admit card will include the candidate's name, registration number, roll number, exam center, date, and time. UPSESSB is slated to release admit cards for the PGT position on its official website. To download the Admit Card for UP PGT, candidates must first log in to the website with their registration number and date of birth. Candidates must bring a printed copy of their admit card to the exam center, along with a valid picture ID proof such as an Aadhar card, PAN card, or voter ID. 

UP PGT Cut Off 2026

The concerned department evaluates the qualifying marks before the exam to choose the qualified candidates, which are also the cut-off marks required to qualify for the merit list. The following factors will derive the qualifying marks and Cut Off for UP PGT Recruitment –

The result will contain the names of shortlisted candidates who have qualified for the interview round. UPSESSB conducted the selection process for PGT recruitment including an interview round. The final selection was made on the combined scores of both rounds. UPSESSB is expected to announce the UP PGT Result after the completion of exams. The result will also contain the roll numbers of waitlisted candidates.
