The exam is being conducted in various centers across the country from 27th April 2026 till end of May. The admit card for the CBT was released at ssc.gov.in on 25th April, 2026. Earlier, the CBT was scheduled on 23rd February 2026. However, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) had postponed the exam until further notice. The new exam dates have now been announced.

SSC GD New Medical Guidelines
The SSC has revised the medical examination guidelines for SSC GD Constable 2026 based on the latest clarification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs. As per the update, candidates will no longer be rejected on the basis of weight during the Physical Standard Test (PST). The key changes includes:

- Weight assessment will be done during Medical Examination (MET)

In case if a question is found to be incorrect, ambiguous or out of syllabus then the question is discarded and marks are awarded to all candidates. Also if multiple answers exist, candidates seeking any correct option receive full marks while minor errors or technical objections will be ignored and only valid and meaningful challenges will be considered for final answer key preparation.

SSC GD Exam Date 2026 Out
The SSC GD Exam Date 2026 has been announced. According to the notice, the SSC GD Computer Based Test will be conducted from 27th April 2026 and will continue till end of May 2026. The examination period will be held over the following four windows:
- Week 1 (27th April, 2026 to 2nd May, 2026)
- Week 2 (4th May, 2026 to 9th May, 2026)
- Week 3 (18th May, 2026 to 23rd May, 2026)
- Week 4 (25th May, 2026 to 30th May, 2026)
