SEBI has released the candidate statistics for the Phase I Examination 2026 held on 10th January 2026. As per the official notice, 56,173 candidates appeared for the Phase I Exam, while 10,797 candidates qualified for Phase II. SEBI Grade A Officer Recruitment 2026 is being conducted to fill a total of 135 vacancies. The posts are for Assistant Manager (Officer Grade A). Recruitment is open for Generalist and Specialist streams. These include Legal, IT, Engineering and other disciplines. SEBI will conduct an exam to select eligible candidates. The selection will be done through a competitive examination with Phase 1 exam scheduled for 10 January 2026 and Phase 2 exam to be held on 21 February 2026. SEBI Grade A 2026 Apply Online process will soon open. The Recuitment process for 2025 cycle has been officially closed now on SEBI website, www.sebi.gov.in. The application window was open from 30 October to 28 November 2025. Candidates were advised to apply early to avoid technical issues. The SEBI Grade A 2026 selection will be done in three stages. It includes Phase 1 online screening, Phase 2 online exam and final interview. Each stage has a specific role in shortlisting candidates for the next round. The details of the same are indicated below.
The Phase 1 online screening exam for SEBI Grade A 2026 is scheduled for 10 January 2026 and will be conducted for 200 marks. It is qualifying in nature so the marks obtained will not count towards the final merit list. This exam will test general aptitude and knowledge.
The Phase 2 online exam for SEBI Grade A 2026 is scheduled for 21 February 2026. It will be conducted for 200 marks and carry 85% weightage in the overall selection process. Candidates who clear Phase 1 will be eligible to appear for this exam.
The Phase 3 interview for SEBI Grade A 2026 will carry a weightage of 15% in the selection process. It will be the final stage and will be conducted for a total of 15 marks. It is to be noted that no dates have been announced for the interview yet.
