In this stage, the bank will carefully verify the documents and details submitted by candidates who qualified in the written test. The purpose is to ensure that candidates meet the required eligibility criteria, including educational qualification, experience, and age limit. Any discrepancy or false information found during screening may result in disqualification. Only those who clear this stage will be called for the Language Proficiency Test or Interview, as applicable.
The LLPT is mandatory for candidates who have not studied the local language of the state they are applying for in their 10th or 12th standard. The test will assess reading, writing, and speaking skills in that language. It is qualifying in nature, meaning candidates must secure the minimum marks prescribed by the bank to be eligible for the final selection. Those who fail the LLPT will not be considered further, regardless of their written test or interview performance. Candidates who have studied the local language must produce valid proof at the time of verification to be exempted from LLPT.
Candidates shortlisted after the Online Test and LLPT will be invited for the Personal Interview, which carries 50 marks. The minimum qualifying marks are 45% for SC/ST candidates (22.5 marks) and 50% for others (25 marks). This stage evaluates communication skills, banking knowledge, and overall personality. However, qualifying in the interview alone doesn’t guarantee selection, candidates must also meet all eligibility and LLPT requirements.
The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined performance of candidates in the Online Written Test and Personal Interview. Only those who qualify in LLPT (if applicable) and meet all eligibility and document verification standards will be considered for selection. The merit list will be arranged state-wise and category-wise, ensuring fair allocation of vacancies as per PNB guidelines.
The PNB LBO Salary 2025 offers an attractive pay scale under the Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I). Along with the basic pay, employees receive benefits such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), medical insurance, and retirement benefits as per bank rules.
The selected candidates will serve a probation period of two years, during which their performance will be evaluated before confirmation. After training, candidates will be posted within the state they applied for and are required to serve there for at least nine years or until promotion to Scale IV, whichever comes first.
