MP Police SI Selection Process 2025

The selection process for the post of Sub Inspector includes the following three stages. One will need to qualify all of them to be considered for selection to the post. 

Preliminary Written Exam -

The preliminary exam will be based on multiple-choice questions and there will be no negative marking. The exam will carry 100 marks and will have a duration of two hours. The marks obtained in this stage will have no impact on the final selection. Questions will be asked from the following subjects: Hindi language comprehension, English language comprehension, grammar, history, geography, science, civics, basic computer knowledge, technology, and current affairs. The preliminary exam is mandatory for all candidates.

Mains Written Examination

After clearing the preliminary stage, the main exam will be conducted in two separate parts, each carrying a maximum of 300 marks with a duration of two hours. The second stage will also include physical measurements, physical efficiency tests, and related assessments under police headquarters supervision. Part I will consist of two sections of objective-type questions, with one-third negative marking for incorrect answers and no penalty for unattempted questions. Part II will also have two sections: Section A with objective questions, and Section B covering reasoning and data interpretation, with similar marking rules. Calculators are not permitted.
