The Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog (HPRCA) will activate the HP Junior Basic Teacher Recruitment Application Link on 16th March 2026 (10:00 AM). Eligible candidates can start applying online once the link is active. They are advised to fill the application form before 6th April 2026 (11:59 PM).

HP JBT Selection Process 2026

Selection of the candidates is based on the written examination, which will be conducted for 100 marks. The candidates who will get qualified in the examination are eligible to attend the document verification.

HPSSC JBT Eligibility Criteria 2026

Age Limit

Educational Qualification

• The candidate must have 10+2 with 50% marks or Senior Secondary with 50% marks from a recognized Board of School Education and 2 years Junior Basic (JBT) Teacher s course/Diploma in Elementary Education(D.EI.Ed.) from any institute affiliated to HPBOSE.

OR

• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 years Junior Basic Teacher (JBT)/Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed.) (by whatever name known).

OR

• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45 % marks and 2 years Junior Basic Teacher (JBT)/Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 % marks and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education. OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 % marks and 2 years Diploma in Education(Special Education). OR
• Graduation and two years Junior Basic Teacher (JBT)/ Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

• Post Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three years integrated B.Ed-M.Ed. 

And

• Pass in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for Class I-V, to be conducted by an authority designated by the HP State Government.
