NTA CSIR NET 2026 Eligibility
In order to avoid disqualification of their applications, candidates must fulfil the following CSIR UGC NET eligibility in terms of their age and qualfiications.
- JRF: Maximum Age: 30 years as on the 1st day of the month in which the examination is concluded (a relaxation of upto 5 years is provided to candidates belonging to OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD/Third gender categories and to women applicants
- Assistant Professor: No upper age limit
- Admission to PhD: There is no upper age limit in applying for Joint CSIR-UGC-NET for Admission to PhD.
- The applicants must have completed a Masters degree or equivalent examination from recognized universities/ institutions.
CSIR NET 2026 Exam Pattern
Candidates must know the subject-wise CSIR NET Syllabus & Exam Pattern to get an idea of the topics from which questions will be asked in the exam, marking scheme, type of questions, etc. The CSIR NET question paper comprises three sections –
