The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has increased the total number of vacancies for the recruitment of Inter Level Posts, including Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Typist, Panchayat Secretary, Revenue Staff etc. The vacancies have been increased from 24492 to 26426. A total of 1107 new vacancies from 7 different departments have been added to this recruitment drive. Also, the last date to submit the application is 16th February 2026. The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) will release the BSSC Inter Level Exam Date 2026. From the homepage, click on the “Notification” tab which contains all the current recruitment notifications.
Go through the list of active examination and click on the link named “Link to fill up the BSSC 2nd Inter Level Exam Application Form.”
Begin your registration process by filling in the basic information like name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID of the applicant. After that, continue filling personal details such as address and educational qualification of the candidate.
Upload scanned files of the required documents in their prescribed format and size such as photograph, signature, Category Certificate, SSC Memo, and Income Certificate.
After completing the above steps, move to the next process which is the online payment of the application fee using your credit card, debit card, and net banking.

The candidates have to undergo three stages to get recruited for the post. Let us look at each stage of the selection process below:
The preliminary examination will be an objective type exam consisting of multiple choice questions. It will be conducted in computer based mode for screening candidates. The exam will be of 150 questions from General Studies, General Science and Mathematics, and Mental Ability. A candidate needs to score minimum marks separately in each paper as decided by BSSC to be eligible for the Mains exam.
The candidates who clear the preliminary exam will be called for the mains exam. The mains exam will consist of two papers- Paper 1 on General Awareness/Hindi and Paper 2 on Mental Ability and General Science. Each paper will be of 2 hours 15 minutes duration and will carry a total 400 and 600 marks respectively. Candidates need to score separately in each paper as per the prescribed marks by BSSC to qualify for the next stage.
In this stage, the documents of candidates who clear the mains exam will be verified by BSSC to check their eligibility. The documents such as age proof, category/caste, educational qualification etc. will be checked. Candidates failing to produce requisite documents will be disqualified.
